Italy: Sicily

The trip proposed here is a group trip with two accompanying persons in addition to the bus driver. Various eno-gastronomic experiences and insights into Italian history and art are planned.

The minimum group size is 16 participants, the maximum 20. The common language spoken by the guide, Dr Fu-Ju Yang, will be Chinese; the Italian agency’s escort will speak Italian and English.

INDIVIDUAL FEE
including taxes and duties Euro 8.200,00 in a double room Euro 9.400,00 in a single room (supplement Euro 1.200,00)

Euro 1,500.00 down payment due by 20 December 2024.
The balance shall be paid by 19 September 2025

The receipt for the down payment will be sent online via e-mail. After payment of the balance, an invoice for the entire amount of the trip will be sent in the same manner.

• Hire of private minibus with driver for the whole tour with free WIFI service.
• Tip for the minibus driver.
• Luggage transport from hotel to hotel.
• Transfer for arrival and departure from Palermo airport, at the time to be indicated.
• 11 Overnight stays with breakfast in four- and five-star hotels (3 hotels) and in a farmhouse and a resort.*
• 11 Visitor’s taxes.
• 10 Dinners in restaurants or trattorias with two, three or four courses of typical dishes with drinks included (water and 1 glass of wine or beer).

• 9 Light lunches in restaurants or trattorias or combined with tastings, drinks included.

• Off-road excursion to Etna Volcano.

• Visit and tasting in a pastry shop in Erice.

• Visit and tasting in a farm producing pistachios.

• Visit to a wine cellar and wine tasting.

• Visit and oil tasting in an oil mill.

• Visit to a ceramics workshop in Caltagirone.

• Guided tour of Syracuse and the Cathedral.

• Visit to a workshop for the decoration of typical Sicilian carts.

• Entrance and guided tour of the Theatre of Taormina.

• Entrance and guided tour of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento.

• Entrance and guided tour of the Villa Romana del Casale.

• Entrance and guided tour of the Norman Palace.

• Entrance and guided tour of the Cathedral and Cloister of Monreale.

THE FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE

• Medical and luggage insurance and travel cancellation.
• Transfer from your place of residence to Palermo.
  One lunch in Siracusa and one dinner in Palermo
• Extra services, tips not included and anything not expressly provided for in the programme and in THE PRICE INCLUDES.

WITHDRAWAL AND PENALTIES
The traveller may withdraw from the contract at any time. In the event of cancellation of the trip by the traveller, the following penalties shall apply

• from booking to 30 March 2025, penalty equal to half of the deposit paid;
• from 1 April to 18 September 2025, penalty equal to the entire deposit paid.
• from 19 September, the final date for payment of the balance, penalty of 100 %.

Travellers who find themselves in the situation of having to cancel the trip will have to make a claim with their insurance company, as cancellation insurance is not included in this travel package.

INFO AND PROGRAMME CHANGES
Other useful information about the trip, in particular the names and contact details of the accompanying persons and any additional information, will be given by e-mail before departure. The above-mentioned programme may be subject to some changes, before or during the tour, due to technical or organisational reasons or due to weather developments that preclude some outdoor activities. Consequently, some of the services planned, such as excursions, visits, tastings or other, may be replaced with other services of the same type, quality or value, at the sole discretion of the tour leaders.

The programme may also be subject to changes or limitations in the event of emergency government regulations regarding public health. The causes cannot be foreseen and are beyond the organiser’s control.
